Hi, my name is Edwin Libreros. Born in Colombia in the early 80’s raised by 2 amazing parents that love me dearly but couldn’t always provide for me and my 2 younger siblings. I arrived in Houston when I was only 3 yrs old. Growing up not having much has made me appreciate things people might take granted for. I feel we all go through our own personal life experiences good or bad so that we may learn great lessons that we might not have learned any other way but to experience it in person. With these lessons we teach others and help others get through the same experiences we had trouble with and couldn’t understand at that moment in time. I wouldn’t trade my experiences for the world because I would not be who I am today. There is a reason I had to learn all these lessons through my eyes that was far beyond my grasp. As I grew up it all started to make more and more sense. I know for sure that it is my responsibility to share my thoughts with others to help shine a light in their paths. We were put on this earth to bring value to others. If we do not add value to others then what are we doing here? wasting our time I believe.
One of the great ways that I can help and add value to others is through fitness & nutrition. I’ve been coaching people to reach their fitness goals for over 10 yrs. The principles and the mind-set that I teach can be applied to any other aspect of your lives. Since my dad is my hero it would only be natural to lean towards sports, he was such a great soccer player. I use to go watch his games every weekend growing up until he herniated a disc at work. Surgery really slowed him down. It was really hard to see my dad not be able to play something he loved and played since he was like 4yrs old. It was like he lost apart of himself. The experience he went through made me want to help people avoid this and any other type of injury as much as possible with the proper education and guidance.
My own personal fitness journey has been a long one full of trail & error. But, I have learned so much. I have learned what works and what doesn’t. One big thing I have learned is keeping things so simple anyone could understand. Why make things so complicated? I believe the simpler we can make things the easier it is to apply and follow.
It is my belief that what we are passionate about must be shared. So my mission is to help others through change. Fitness is a great tool to teach. Change is hard and it seems impossible sometimes, but with the right words and guidance it will be easy to see that it’s not as hard as we make it out to be in our minds. I have worked with a ton of people ranging in all ages, races and backgrounds. What I have noticed is that we are a lot similar than we think. We have the same fears and insecurities. With the proper steps we can conquer “self” so that we may see life the way it was truly meant to be seen and lived.
