Don’t Excuse Yourself From Opportunity

It takes more than wishful thinking to make an impact in your life. Whether it’s losing weight or chasing a dream you’ve always had. It takes more than just talking about it. Put your thoughts to paper. Write them down. Make a plan. Break up the big goal into small attainable goals and get started. Take action.

You should be working on this daily if you plan to ever see those goals become a reality. Don’t let your self-talk defeat you. It’s easy to give up and make excuses. Excuses are for the weak. You are strong. You must take the road less traveled. You have to push to change anything in your life. It’s not easy but it is worth it.

If you have been putting off your goals. Stop today.

Get moving towards your goals and dreams before someone else snatches them from under your nose.

“Make CHOICES or make EXCUSES. The choice is yours.”

“Excuses will always be there for you. OPPORTUNITY won’t be.”

Gym Rumor Vs. Reality

exclusive fitness pro vs gym rumorGYM RUMOR: “If I train abs every day and do thousands of them I will get a 6 pack.”

REALITY: Everyone is born with “abs”. The only reason we cannot see them is for the simple fact that a layer of fat covers them. To get rid of the fat around the belly is to pay attention to your caloric intake and focus on the types of food that you are eating.

Remember, you cannot spot train for fat loss. We all wish it could be that easy. If it were that easy everyone that did “crunches” every day would have magnificent abs regardless of what they eat. Get on some kind of scheduled plan even before you start working out. Get your nutrition in check and with the right type of effort in the gym. Your abs will slowly start to show themselves as that layer of fat around your mid-section melts away. Stop going for those quick fixes and “fat-loss potions”. Nothing worth having comes easy.

– Putting together a well-balanced meal plan.
– Increasing the intensity of your workouts.
– Every week you should be challenging yourself.
– Be consistent in your efforts.

Getting Fit Takes More Than…

Hey! I’m going to keep this short and sweet for the start of the new year.

Today is the day that you make a drastic change in your life. It’s all up to you. No one else.

Take control and don’t let go of the wheel until you reach your destination. Slow and steady wins the race.

*NOTE: If you have failed every year on your new year resolutions because you try to take on too many new habits. Cut back. Start with one, just one. Work on that one thing every single day. Baby steps gets you walking, walking gets you running.

Remember, it’s all up to you!

Let this be the year everything shifts in the direction you want.

Happy New Year from you neighborhood entrepreneur.

Trust yourself

You have to trust that life will connect the dots for you. Believe that each moment that you live through next will give you the opportunity to make such a sharp turn in your life. That you will become successful in anything that you want and so desire. Because, you will know no other way. Trust your heart to lead your mind, not the other way around. Follow the impulses you feel, that’s your heart trying to talk to your mind. Listen.

A bird on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking. Because, her trust is not in the branch, but her own wings. Always believe in yourself.”

“Trust yourself more. You know way more than you think you know.”

E’s Poems: Be Adventurous

Adventure begins where plans end.
Take risk often, crush boredom again and again.
Life dashes by too fast to plan each second.
Life without adventure is like living in hell believing it’s some kind of heaven.
The seconds on the clock don’t stop for anyone and you are no exception.
Lead with your heart and it will explode you in the right direction.
Don’t fear what others may think of you or yourself for that matter.
What you will learn is the way you use to think will all be shattered.
It’s easy to get caught up as life runs you by.
Explore, get lost and take risk before you die.

When the strikes I write…

Change Heart

The past can spoil the heart, if you allow it. A wounded heart has the ability to rebuild stronger than ever, forged in the fires of pain and regret. The scars surrounding every curve of the heart builds character. Just like the armor of a veteran solider. Nothing more resilient, powerful, unstoppable, and endless than a changed heart. Change is enviable, the type of change is decided by you and only you. So, choose wisely.

Inevitable failure is needed

When you start anything new it’s more likely inevitable to fail, but do not be discouraged by that outcome. Don’t expect a baby that can only crawl to walk perfectly the first time they try, fall they will, and fail they must. From those failures they will learn. You need to change your views on failure. You could see failure as something so horrible and so crippling that it causes you to quit. But, in reality what failures really do is they give you the context to re-calibrate your methods and sharpen your skills to flourish your successes.

It is easy to be discouraged by your failures which makes it even easier to quit. It is human nature to beat yourself up mentally and see yourself as not good enough. Yet, what builds character and ultimately reaching success is going from failure to failure, pain to pain without giving up on yourself. Keeping your eyes on the prize will lessen the pain of the failures. If success was easy then everyone would have it, success was meant to be earned. So, earn it. Success is worth temporary pain.

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”
– Robert F. Kennedy

“It’s failure that gives you the proper perspective on success.”
– Ellen DeGeneres

E’s Thoughts & Quotes: Inevitable failure is needed

Life is too short

life is too short

Life is too fragile, one of my dearest and oldest friend’s girlfriend was killed in a tragic car accident. Please, don’t forget to tell the people that you love how much you love them or just a reminder of how much you appreciate them. Forgive those who haven’t forgiven you. Because, you never know when life’s flame flutters off.

If you have something in your heart to say, then say it. Don’t let feelings or thoughts linger in your heart and mind. You do not want to live with something like that for the rest of your life. Every second that we breathe is a blessing, life can be cut off at anytime when we least expect it just like a light switch. It is human nature to think it would never happen to us or someone we hold dear. It can and it is crucial and important to let others know how much we care about them and how they have impacted our lives in a positive and uplifting way.

My heart goes out to them and their families.

Working Together

It’s easier for 2 people to carry a load than for 2 people to pull in opposite directions. Learn to work together by listening (communication) to each other and finding common ground. This applies to any kind of relationship, personal or business.
